As an influential art education institution in Southeast Asia, the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore has developed into a comprehensive art hall accommodating 1,600 full-time students and 3,000 part-time students since its establishment in 1938. With its rigorous academic style and innovative teaching philosophy, the college occupies an important position in the field of international art education-in 1999, it was upgraded by the Singapore Government to the same status as the Government Institute of Technology, enjoying special subsidies from the Ministry of Education and providing students with tuition assistance for up to three years, while maintaining academic autonomy; in 2011, it was awarded the Private Education Award.The 4-year EdiTrust Education Trust certification issued by the Council became the first comprehensive art institution to obtain this qualification.

Diversified subject layout and curriculum system

NAFA consists of eight core faculties to build an educational framework covering all fields of art：

• Department of 3D Design: Focus on space design and three-dimensional creation skills training, pay attention to the combination of practice and innovative thinking；
• Department of Design and Media: Covers visual communication, digital media and other fields, and delivers professionals to the creative industry；
• Department of Clothing: With fashion design and research as the core, it provides education in the whole process from design concept to process realization；
• Department of Pure Fine Arts: Deepen traditional art forms such as painting and sculpture to lay the foundation for professional artists；
• Department of Music / Department of Dance / Department of Drama: With performing arts as the core, with stage practice and creative courses, respectively, to cultivate composite artistic talents；
• Department of Art Management and Education: Focus on cultural industry management, art education planning and other fields to connect industry needs；
• Interdisciplinary Art Department: Encourage breaking artistic boundaries and exploring innovative expressions through multi-domain integration.

Description of admission application and fees

• International Freshman (Diploma) application conditions: Need to meet the English proficiency requirements (such as IELTS 5.0, TOEFL 500 points / online test 50 points, SAT 480 points or polygraph 80 points, etc.)；
• Undergraduate degree (Degree) application requirements: In addition to language scores, you need to submit a collection of relevant professional works or an interview (the specific requirements of each department shall prevail)；
• Tuition standard: The fees for international freshman and undergraduate degree programs can refer to the latest price list officially announced by the college (slightly different due to professional differences).
